Vacation Wishlist

Next month Phil and I will be heading to Miami for a little Baby Moon. We didn’t get a chance to take one when I was pregnant with Maddie, so this time around we wanted to carve out some time just for us. I’ll be writing a whole post on this in a few weeks; but in the meantime I’ll share a few vacation goodies I’ve had my eyes on. We plan on doing a whole lot of NOTHING: breakfasts in robes, lounging by the pool, catching up on some good reads and relaxing just the two of us. I’ll be taking a carry on- possibly a first for me- so I’m planning on packing smarter and lighter for this trip.

During this time of year I tend to live in comfy maxis like this one- particularly when I’m expecting. I love that you can throw them over a swimsuit when heading to the pool or pair with a cute shoe like this one for a trip into town or date night. Speaking of suits- I’ve been a one piece champion for sometime now. And I’m definitely a one-piece kinda preggo. I grabbed this white suit a few weeks ago and snagged this gingham version on sale this week- they’re both super cute and comfy; and I love that I can wear both post-baby, too.

Because I’m packing light I’m hoping to make the most out of a few key pieces with lots of different accessories. I grabbed this straw hat during the Shopbop sale a few weeks ago and I LOVE it. I’ll be wearing it when traveling and then bringing it with me beach and poolside. Lately I’ve been a sucker for a cute headband- I wore them all the time this past winter- and I’m loving this springy, striped version for the warmer days, and to throw on post-swim. Straw bags like this scalloped version and this circle tote, are great to throw in the essentials- like this book and this sunscreen- to head to the beach during the day, but can also head to dinner with you at night. I’ll be bringing a few pairs of fun earrings with me, too- like this beaded pink pair that give a great pop of color and this take on the puka shell trend to wear both day and night. And while I need another pair of sunglasses like I need a hole in the head: I’ve got my eyes on these rose colored lenses, too.
